Gutron 2.5mg Tablet

GUTRON 2.5mg Tablet consists of the active ingredient Midodrine. This medication is primarily used to treat low blood pressure (hypotension). It belongs to a class of drugs known as alpha-1 adrenergic agonists, which constrict blood vessels and increase blood pressure. GUTRON 2.5mg Tablet is commonly prescribed for conditions such as orthostatic hypotension, a form of low blood pressure that occurs when standing up from a seated or lying position. It helps to improve symptoms such as lightheadedness, dizziness, and fainting associated with this condition. This medication should be used cautiously in individuals with severe kidney impairment or end-stage renal disease. Dosing adjustments may be necessary to prevent the accumulation of the drug or its metabolites.

Treatment of orthostatic hypotension (low BP when a person stands up from a seated or lying)

Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. GUTRON 2.5mg Tablet may be taken with or without food, but it is better to take it at a fixed time.

GUTRON Tablet contains the active ingredient midodrine hydrochloride, which acts on the blood vessels via the sympathetic nervous system to correct imbalances of blood distribution. This should help relieve the symptoms you might suffer, such as dizziness, fainting, blurred vision, and weakness when sitting or standing up.

Store between 20°C to 25°C.
