Kadcyla 160mg Injection is used in the treatment of early as well as metastatic breast cancer. It is used to treat certain types of breast cancer (human epidermal growth factor receptor 2, HER-2) which have spread to other organs and have not responded to other cancer medicines.

Kadcyla 160mg injection will be given to you only by a doctor or a nurse into the vein (intravenously).Your doctor will decide the correct dose and duration of therapy for you depending upon your age, body weight and disease condition.

Trastuzumab emtansine works by combining the targeting ability of trastuzumab, which binds to HER2-positive cancer cells, with the cell-killing effects of emtansine, a chemotherapy drug. Once this medication binds to the HER2-positive cancer cells, it releases emtansine, which then enters the cancer cells and destroys them. This process helps to slow down or stop the growth of cancer, reducing the size of tumours and potentially extending the patient's life.
