Tenof Tablet is used in the treatment of chronic hepatitis B virus (HBV) infection. It is also used to treat HIV infection in combination with other anti-HIV medicines. It prevents the multiplication of viruses in human cells. This stops the virus from producing new viruses and clears up your infection.This Tablet is not a cure for HIV/AIDS and only helps to decrease the amount of HIV in your body. This helps to lower your risk of getting HIV-related complications and improves your lifespan. It may also be used to prevent HIV infection in some people at high risk. This medicine may be taken with or without food. It is used in combination with other anti-HIV medicines. Taking these medicines regularly at the right time greatly increases their effectiveness and reduces the chances of HIV becoming resistant to them.

Take the tenof Tablet as advised by your physician. Swallow the tablets whole and intact. This tablet should be taken with food. Do not crush, chew, or open the medicine. Your physician will decide the correct dosage and duration based on age, body weight, and disease condition.

The reverse transcriptase enzyme produces copies of DNA from the HIV’s RNA. Tenof 300mg tablet is a nucleotide analog that inhibits the reverse transcriptase enzyme and blocks DNA synthesis. It decreases the viral load of HIV in the blood and increases the number of CD4 (T) cells, enabling the immune system to fight other infections. This reduces the risk of severity and death associated with a weak immune system.
