Ujvira 100mg Injection

Ujvira 100mg Injection is a targeted therapy containing the active constituent trastuzumab emtansine. It is used to treat adults with a type of breast cancer (human epidermal growth factor receptor 2 positive breast cancer) that has spread to other parts of the body or has not improved after treatment with other medications. It is a combination of two drugs: trastuzumab, which is a monoclonal antibody that targets HER2-positive breast cancer cells, and emtansine, which is a chemotherapy drug that destroys cancer cells. This medicine is also given after surgery to kill any cancer cells left in the breast (adjuvant therapy).

Trastuzumab emtansine binds selectively to the HER2 receptors on breast cancer cells' surface, blocks them from receiving growth signals, and stops the cancer cell's growth. DM1 becomes active once the drug enters the cancer cells and helps stop cancer cell growth.

Side effects are unwanted symptoms caused by medicines. Even though all medicines cause side effects, not everyone gets them.
