You should not self-administer this medicine at home. To get the full benefit of the vaccine, it is important to get the complete dose of the vaccine. Common side effects of this medicine include loss of appetite, irritability, unusual crying, restlessness, fever, and sleepiness. It may also cause redness, pain, and swelling at the site of injection. These are usually temporary and resolves itself with time. However, if any of these side effects persist or get worse, you should let the doctor know. Before receiving the injection, let your child's doctor know if the child has any medical conditions.
